History of "Casa Vejo"

In addition to the fame of the "Pantortillas", was also very popular the Reinosa pastry donut or "Reinosas".

Its development was carried out in the long winters, using large and always punctual snow. The absence of refrigeration, kept the pastry with the perfect temperature. Once the mass was baked, kept in oak boxes for later tasting.

Nowadays, the "Pantortillas", "Reinosas" and "Tortos" (unique in its quality), are the flagship products of this exquisite, carefully and craft production, for what Casa Vejo won the Cantabrian Touristic Merit Award.

Casa Vejo keeps the favor and fidelity of the cantabrian people who know very well their delicious specialties,stored for years as "Sweet secrets of Cantabria".

Pantortillas

Sweet Butter Puff Biscuits in fine, crisp and golden sheets sprinkled with sugar. With over 150 years of tradition, is the most famous and representative product of Reinosa. Box with 6 or 12 units of Pantortillas.

Tortos

In Campoo households, families never forget the "Tortos" in order to celebrate St. Peter's feast (June 29). The extraordinary quality of this product is due to its noble ingredients: Butter, Almonds, Honey and Nougat Jijona original. Box with 12 units of Tortos.

Reinosas

It is the puff pastry donut of Reinosa, also known as "Winter Puff". These delicious donuts are developed byCasa Vejo since 1900, following the same traditional process. Box with 12 units of Reinosas.

For months are stored in sealed trunks of poplar wood. Then they are cooked in boiling syrup  ...  They are perfect to enjoy in spring and summer, with a delicious cup of tea or coffee, or as an accompaniment to any fine liquor.
